Amber Faulkner

Amber is formerly justice-involved.  She began using meth at the age of 19 and was addicted to it for the next 14 years.  In 2009 she entered a program that ultimately saved her life.  Throughout her journey in recovery, she was surrounded by leaders that pushed and believed in her.  She finished her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Counseling with an undergrad in alcohol and drug counseling in 2019.  From there she went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and is projected to graduate from Crown College in 2025.  In 2018 she was allowed to plead her case in front of the MN Board of Pardons and was granted an early pardon extraordinaire.

She has been sought out to speak at jails, prisons, and many other events where she shares her story of triumph.  In January she will be celebrating 15 years in recovery from a substance that almost killed her.  Her goal in life is to help others see their worth, push through the pain from their past, and live a life free from addiction.
