Meg Gauthier | Chief Information Officer | Restore Recovery

As a child, I endured a troubled and abusive upbringing, the weight of which no little girl should bear. It left me scarred and seeking refuge in the allure of drugs, an escape from the pain that enveloped my world.

After 15 years of abuse, criminal behavior and drug use, my path took an relieving turn, and I faced the consequences of my actions, spending 25 months in prison. It was a period of reflection and growth, a time when I confronted my past and discovered the strength within to rebuild my life through Jesus Christ.

I met Jesus, and through His love and grace, I found the strength to rise above the darkness that once consumed me. It was a transformational journey – one filled with more challenges and setbacks than I’d care to admit, but also with newfound purpose and hope.

I worked full time and attended college full time until I received my Software Engineering degree. I have been an engineer for the better part of a decade but know there is a deeper calling on my life.

With every step of my healing, I discovered that my story wasn’t solely about me. It was about giving back, about reaching out to my community with a heart overflowing with empathy. They had supported me, loved me, and stood by me when I needed it the most.

Fueled by a desire to help others, I desire to help those battling addiction, offering them a hand to break free, just as I did. I am now dedicating my time to helping others, showing them that their past doesn’t define their future, and that they are capable of greatness.
